Jeremiah 6:6-8

⁶ For thus says Yahweh of hosts,
“^(A)Cut down her trees
And cast up a ^(B)siege against Jerusalem.
This is the city to be punished,
In whose midst there is only ^(C)oppression.
^7 (D)Like a well ^[a]keeps its waters fresh,
So she ^[b]keeps fresh her evil.
^(E)Violence and devastation are heard in her;
^(F)Sickness and wounds are continually before Me.
^8 (G)Heed discipline, O Jerusalem,
Lest ^(H)My soul become disgusted at you,
Lest I make you a desolation,
A land not inhabited.”
